CAMERON AND JAMES AT THE 2015 FAIR@SQUARE 'FUTURE OF FASHION' RUNWAY
Our Melbourne based sustainable label, Cameron and James, has had a busy week! Designer Cameron James Dixon showcased his label at the RAW Melbourne Uprising event on Thursday night, and now brings his edgy collection to this year’s Fair@Square on Saturday 5th December, alongside a host of other ethical and sustainable fashion labels including Jacob and Esau, Pure Pod, Paul Castro, Fabled and True, Penny Lane and So Stella.
Fair@Square has been part of the City of Melbourne for the last seven years and it is Australia’s biggest ethical lifestyle festival. Presented by Moral Fairground, the Fair@Square festival aims to build awareness, inspire and educate people about the benefits of ethical lifestyle choices and to showcase enterprises that are innovative and are leading the way.
Moral Fairground Festival Director, Susanna Bevilacqua is a big believer in the power of people. “We are strong believers that people have the power to create positive change by the small actions and decisions that they make every day. We hope that Fair@Square can provide an opportunity for people to be inspired to take small actions.”
This year the theme of Fair@Square is ‘Unearthing Goodness from Soil to Shelf’, in celebration of the International Year of the Soil. The theme embraces the importance of soil to society; everything we have, from the food we eat to the clothes we wear comes from the soil.
Fair@Square is a lot of fun for the whole family, just in time for Christmas. The event boasts free activities for people of all ages to enjoy and offer conscious shopping and alternative lifestyle choices.
Chat with exhibitors, enjoy a variety of unique giftware, catch over 30 sustainable and ethical fashion labels at the ‘Future of Fashion’ ethical fashion show, and shop consciously to unearth goodness this festive season.
